Recently, the Creuziger family in Wisconsin, USA, agreed to sell 407 acres of land to Microsoft for a total price of $76 million. Microsoft will build a data center here.
The land purchased by Microsoft this time is adjacent to the 641 acres of land previously purchased from Mount Pleasant Park, which is worth $99.7 million. The first phase of Microsoft's data center plans to invest over $1 billion, covering 215 acres, and construction has already begun.
According to reports, Microsoft initially planned to hire 200 employees in the Mount Pleasant data center, which may increase to over 460 employees over time. However, in 2017, Hon Hai committed to providing 13000 job positions in the region.
It is reported that the amount of land purchased by Microsoft is much higher than the current valuation. As part of the agreement with Hon Hai Group, the Wisconsin government initially hoped to provide some funds to the Creuziger family to purchase land, but was politely declined. Now this land has been successfully acquired by Microsoft.
