OpenAI founder Altman will join Microsoft to lead a new AI team


Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella stated on social media platform LinkedIn that OpenAI founders Sam Altman and Greg Brockman will join Microsoft to lead a new Advanced Artificial Intelligence (AI) research team, stating that "Microsoft will quickly provide them with the resources they need to succeed.

Satya Nadella posted on LinkedIn stating that we remain committed to our partnership with OpenAI and are confident in our product roadmap, our ability to continue innovating as announced on Microsoft Ignite, and our ability to continue supporting our customers and partners.

It is reported that on the evening of November 17th local time, the OpenAI board of directors announced the dismissal of CEO Sam Altman. According to insiders, OpenAI's board of directors has hired former Twitch CEO Emmett Shear as the new CEO, despite investor demands for Sam Altman's reinstatement.
